Cholla Principal Biography

Azure Sullivan, Principal

Ms. Sullivan was born and raised in Oregon. After graduating from college and teaching for a few years in Oregon she moved to the Arizona desert and taught and coached for three years in Phoenix before moving to the Casa Grande area. Ms. Sullivan started her CGESD career teaching 2nd grade at Cholla, so she feels like she’s coming home! She has also worked as a district instructional coach and most recently, she was the TOA at Mesquite Elementary for three years. Ms. Sullivan continued her education by earning her Early Childhood Master’s Degree and her Educational Leadership Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University and is proud to be Lumberjack alumni.


Ms. Sullivan believes that positive relationships are the key to learning and growing and she looks forward to creating positive relationships with Cholla students, families and teachers. She also loves Twitter and will be sharing the work and learning of Cholla scholars with families!


When she’s not at school Ms. Sullivan and her family love hiking, camping and exploring the Arizona desert. She hopes to hike all 800 miles of the AZ Trail someday.
